The KCC Miner South Extension Center in Watseka has seats available in a variety of general education courses for the Spring 2023 semester.

The credit classes being offered are:

  • English I (ENGL 1613), Wednesdays, 4-5:15 p.m.; Jan. 11 to May 10;
  • Introduction to Film Study (ENGL 1723), Mondays, 1-3:30 p.m., Jan. 9 to Feb. 27;
  • Introduction to Astronomy (PSCI 1503), Mondays, 1:30-3:30, March 13 to May 1;
  • Lifespan Development Psychology (PSCY 2553), Wednesdays, 10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., Jan. 11 to May 10; and
  • Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging (SOCY 1613), Wednesday, 1-3:30 p.m., March 15 to May 1.

Adult Education classes include:

  • High School Equivalency Preparation (formerly called GED preparation) on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 5:30-8:30 p.m.
  • English as a Second Language (ESL) on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 5:30-8:30 p.m.

The KCC Miner South Extension Center, 1488 E Walnut St. in Watseka, is open Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Registration and advising at the SEC is on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Additional times are available by appointment.
