Educational and fun courses for adults over age 55 will be offered this fall as part of the Kankakee Community College Lifelong Learning Institute.
The Lifelong Learning Institute offers affordable, high-quality non-credit classes that take place in an environment that fosters participation. Some classes meet for one day on a specialized topic, others delve deeper over several sessions. The Lifelong Learning Institute website, www.kcc.edu/LLI, has information about classes meeting between now through December. Topics include history lectures, craft projects, self-reflection, using a 3-D printer, waterfalls of Illinois, meeting an author and Bourbonnais history.
Some classes are in-person at KCC, where protocols for social distancing and wearing masks are in place. Others are live webinars, where participants join the class online at a set time.
Information also is available by contacting Theresa Zack at tzack@kcc.edu or 815-802-8207.
