Lady Cavs headed to national tourney

The KCC women's basketball team has a record of 23 wins to go with seven losses, and is seeking more wins as it enters the National Tournament.
On Saturday, March 8, the Lady Cavs won the region tournament 67-61 over Moraine Valley Community College. "This will be our 21st appearance at the National Tournament which makes this the most in history at the DII (Division II) level," said Head Coach Donnie Denson.
The NJCAA Div. II National Tournament will be at St. Claire Community College in Port Huron, Mich., March 17-21. Sixteen teams will compete.
Tournament details, brackets, game times streaming of games will all be accessible on the NJCAA website after the tournament selection show (Tuesday, March 10 at noon on the NJCAA site).
With the team's next victory, Denson will have his 500th win as a head coach.
