The Continuing Education Department at Kankakee Community College is offering a number of online classes for teachers in professional development. Start dates are Feb. 13 or March 13.
“Creating the Inclusive Classroom: Strategies for Success” has training to guide students who have learning disabilities, neurobiological disorders, and physical challenges. It includes proven strategies that turn diversity into opportunity. Upon successful completion, 25 professional development hours will be awarded to teachers. Cost is $150.
“Differentiating K-12 Assessments” offers tools to gather assessment data quickly and easily. There will be strategies for performing pre-assessments, formative (ongoing) assessments, and summative assessments. Upon successful completion, 25 professional development hours will be awarded to teachers. Cost is $150.
