Transfer College Fair

Kankakee Community College will host a Transfer Fair from noon - 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12 in the college’s atrium area and College Center.
More than 50 public and private colleges and universities are expected to attend. The event is an opportunity for students to talk with college and university representatives about enrollment at the four-year school. It also offers a chance to discuss transferring to the four-year college.

Illinois public universities invited to attend are: Chicago State University, Chicago; Eastern Illinois University, Charleston; Governors State University, University Park; Illinois State University, Normal; Northern Illinois University, DeKalb; Southern Illinois University, Carbondale; Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville; University of Illinois at Chicago; University of Illinois at Springfield; University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign; and Western Illinois University, Macomb.
Illinois private colleges and universities invited to attend include: Augustana College, Rock Island; Benedictine University, Lisle; Columbia College, Chicago; Concordia University, River Forest; DeVry University, Tinley Park; Eureka College, Eureka; Illinois Institute of Art, Tinley Park; Illinois Wesleyan University, Bloomington; Lakeview College of Nursing, Danville; Lincoln College, Normal; MacMurray College, Jacksonville; Millikin University, Decatur; North Central College, Naperville; North Park University, Chicago; Olivet Nazarene University, Bourbonnais; Rockford College, Rockford; Roosevelt University, Chicago; Trinity Christian College, Palos Heights; Trinity International University, Deerfield; and University of St. Francis, Joliet.
Out-of-state universities invited to attend include: Ball State University, Muncie, Ind.; Purdue University, West Lafayette, Ind.; Purdue University Calumet, Hammond, Ind.; Purdue University, West Lafayette, Ind.; Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College, Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Ind.; and St. Joseph College, Rensselaer, Ind.
An evening College Fair also will be at KCC on Wednesday, Sept. 12, from 6-8 p.m. in the atrium area and College Center at KCC. The event is hosted by area high schools.
The Concourse Atrium Area at KCC is inside the main entrance at KCC, between the Miner Memorial Library and the College Center. KCC is located south of downtown Kankakee off River Road, near U.S. 45‑52. Directions also are at http://www.kcc.edu/directions.

Kankakee Community College is an accredited two-year college which awards associate degrees and certificates of completion. KCC prepares students both to transfer to four-year colleges and to enter the workforce. The college also offers continuing education courses and certification training, literacy programs, English as a Second Language and GED preparation.
