Additional safety videos now available

KCC’s Police and Public Safety Department has added links to three brief training videos on the Campus Safety website.

The videos are YouTube® links, and available to all students, staff, and community members:

• Active Shooter Preparedness - from Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency. It is a review of key emergency response protocols and learn the core strategies—Run, Hide, and Fight—for responding to an active shooter situation.
• Portable Fire Extinguisher Training - from Fire Equipment Manufacturers’ Association. Learn how to safely operate a fire extinguisher using the PASS technique (Pull, Aim, Squeeze, Sweep) and understand how to identify different fire classes.
• AED Operation & Cardiac Emergency Response - from the American Red Cross. Master the step-by-step procedure for using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) on an adult experiencing cardiac arrest.
