Nursing students in the community
Posted On: 01/30/26

On Saturday, January 17, six students from the Student Nurses Association, along with six nursing faculty members, volunteered to help build beds for a Sleep in Heavenly Peace event.
They worked at the Bourbonnais Lowe's to help provide beds to children in need, guided by the Sleep in Heavenly Peace mission: "No kid sleeps on the floor in our town!"
KCC’s registered nursing program and practical nursing programs have a competitive entry process. They incorporate classroom lectures, clinical experiences and lab demonstrations. The programs prepare students for work in hospital departments, as well as in long-term care, home care, business and industry, outpatient clinics, public agencies, and physicians’ offices.
Certified Nursing Assistant and Healthcare Assistant programs are also offered.
More information about KCC programs is on KCC's website.
