It's time to complete the FAFSA

The 2024-25 FAFSA and Alternative Application to apply for Illinois MAP grants are now available.

Here are helpful links and some additional information. 

FAFSA - Free Application for Federal Student Aid

• FAFSA is in a "soft launch" phase. You can read what that means here. 
• A summary and video about FAFSA changes for 2024-25 is on the KCC website. 
• Get details on upcoming FAFSA workshops offered by KCC. They are FREE, and you can fill out the FAFSA on the spot! 

For Returning Monetary Assistance Program (MAP) recipients:

Returning MAP Recipients have a Feb. 1 priority deadline date. Returning MAP recipients are those who received MAP funds during the 2023-24 academic year and continue to meet all eligibility requirements. Submitting the 2024-25 FAFSA or Alternative Application by Feb. 1 will give you priority access to appropriated MAP funds.
