National Transfer Student Week

KCC Transfer Services will be hosting events on campus throughout the week of Oct. 16-20, 2023 to assist students with the transfer process.

The events:

• The Monday "Transferring to ONU 101" event has been canceled. We apologize for any inconvenience. If you have transfer questions, please email or visit the Student Affairs office and ask to speak with a transfer advisor.
• Tuesday, Oct. 17: "Transfer Spirit Wear Day" - Show off your transfer pride by sporting spirit wear from your transfer school or alma mater and stop by Advising or TRIO to fill out Transfer Trivia! Staff will be available as well in Advising and the College Center to check your graduation process.
• Wednesday, Oct. 18: "Transferring to GSU or EIU 101" - Sharita Walker from Governors State University will be in Room L150 to learn about the Dual Degree Program and the steps for transferring to GSU. Jackie Janesku from Eastern Illinois University will be in the College Center to learn about transferring to EIU.
• Thursday, Oct. 19: "The Amazing Race" - Build a team to compete in The Amazing Race: KCC Edition to win a prize. The race will begin at 11:30am in Advising. Staff and faculty are welcome to join in! Email transfer@kcc.edu to register your team.

Students are also invited to participate in our Transfer Spotlight! Simply complete a Transfer Spotlight form online, in Advising, or by emailing transfer@kcc.edu. If you are a TRIO SSS student, you may fill out the form in the TRIO Office (Room L327). 

The events are being held in conjunction with National Institute for the Study of Transfer Students (NISTS) National Student Transfer Week.
