The Kankakee Community College Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Program is hosting Law Enforcement Day from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1.

The event is for students and the public to learn more about career opportunities in law enforcement.

More than 20 law enforcement agencies from federal, state, and local departments will be at KCC to interact with students and the public. A number of specialty vehicles will be on display and an impaired/distracted driving demonstration will be offered throughout the event.

KCC offers two law enforcement-related programs, one is for students who plan to complete a bachelor’s degree and the other is to prepare students for more immediate entry into careers related to law enforcement. The college also offers a number of short-term training options for those who want to specialize their skills.

For more information about the event, contact Bridget Bertrand-Essington, program coordinator of KCC’s Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement programs, at bbertrand@kcc.edu  or 815-802-8856.
