Displays of the clothing sexual assault survivors were wearing at the time of their assaults will be on display in the KCC College Center Monday April 13 through Thursday, April 16.

The display is being created by the Kankakee County Center Against Sexual Assault (KC-CASA), and is sponsored by the KCC Office of Student Life and Development.

The art installation will re-create outfits from the stories of survivors. It’s intended to reinforce the fact that the clothing doesn’t cause sexual violence, the person who causes harm is the one to blame, said Rodney Lipscomb, KCC's coordinator of student life and development. Through this project, KC-CASA seeks to help survivors find peace and to provide a moment of awareness for the KCC community, Lipscomb said.
