The Kankakee Community College Lifelong Learning Institute is offering a series of video lectures led by renowned faculty at various U.S. colleges and universities.

The Lifelong Learning Institute offers affordable, high-quality, non-credit classes that take place in an environment that fosters participation. These video lectures are pre-recorded and played during the class session. These classes are open to people ages 50 and older.

“Five Films That Changed America” will discuss several films that for better or worse, made their mark. Meets Tuesday, June 25 from 2-4 p.m. at KCC in Room D152. Features Marc Lapadula, Yale University Film Studies Program. Course no.: LLLI 8940.A11; cost is $5.

“Our 5 Greatest Presidents … And Our 3 Worst” will take an insider’s look at the polls by leading historians that rank the presidents, and share some stories behind the greatest (and failed) presidents. “An Evening with Leonardo da Vinci” will investigate the remarkable genius of the Italian Renaissance from his birth to his death in France. “Men, Women and Politics: A World of Difference” will discuss the many research studies regarding the gender divide in politics.
